Applications Engineer

Applications Engineer

The Applications Engineer will provide technical support, training and on-site applications assistance to field sales and our customers to assure results at target accounts. The efforts are focused on sales & share gains through determining product needs, testing, developing marketing strategies, establishing cross-functional communications and solving customer needs.

Responsibilities:

• Participates in the planning and formulation of design alternatives and solutions for airport projects; provides all required plans, reports and analysis required to support tender responses.
• Represents the company in business with customers, consultants, technical presentations, contractors, and other public and/or private agencies and organizations.
• Develops and administers project budgets and fiscal controls, contracts, and quality control provisions; performs project cost estimating and value engineering.
• Researches and prepares various reports and white papers pertaining to the system features and benefits to both designer and airport project managers.
• Establishes performance and delivery criteria, ensuring that client and customer’s requirements are being met; prepares project specifications, and monitors contract payments.
• Ensures that project operations are in compliance with contract specifications for all airport and safety regulations.
• Oversees all aspects of the day-to-day management of airport projects; monitors and coordinates work performed on the site and coordinates all inter-departmental deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A  Bachelors degree in a related technical or engineering discipline and a minimum of five years experience in product engineering
• Ability to provide technical guidance and/or supervision to architects, consultants, baggage handling contractors, and independent building contractors
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to develop and present airport integration estimates and feasibility studies.
• Knowledge of airport design and planning principles and procedures.
• Technical knowledge of airport baggage handling components and their functions.
• Knowledge of Security screening life cycle values and maintenance requirements.
• Knowledge of government contract documents and specifications.
• Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time.
