Image Processing / Pattern Recognition Algorithm Expert
The Algorithm Development Group is seeking a creative motivated engineer to develop and implement innovative solutions to explosive detection problems as incorporated in our automated classification system. This includes image segmentation, feature extraction, feature classification and verification, and algorithm tuning. This engineer will join a talented team of engineers and scientists creating state-of-the-art classification systems in a technically challenging, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and testing new and enhanced functionality to detection algorithms and analyzing performance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS with relevant experience, MS preferred
- Strong background in Image/Signal Processing, Pattern Recognition, Mathematics, or Computer Vision. Experience with computed tomography (CT) is a plus
- Good programming skills and C++ experience.
- Experience with real-time streaming data applications is a plus
- Ability to think independently and “out of the box”
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work with a team and independently
